Technical Support - Members tend to cite a key benefit of membership is the technical support and guidance we provide.

Technical Webinars

Following the circulation of technical updates, the BWF hosts “a drop-in facility” for members to speak directly to the technical team – 12 technical drop in webinars were held in in 2024 with 80+ individuals “talking technical” through 2024.

In-person technical meetings

Two in person “technical” focused meetings were held for members = 87 registrations, 98% attendance

Effective Business Support

Members can access a variety of business support services - HR, H&S, Legal/Contractual and general business support services.

New Heritage and Conservation WG

Formed in 2024, the new Heritage and Conservation Working Group identified key BWF factsheets and publications that needed to be reviewed and updated. The first -Fact Card 1- What is a Listed Building was released in December 2024. Historic England - We completed the Heritage Skills Programme with Historic England which resulted in the ‘Skills Needs Analysis for the Repair, Maintenance and Retrofit of Traditional (Pre 1919) Buildings in England 2024’ report. This was published in September 2024
