The Construction Products Association (CPA) is the leading organisation that represents and champions construction product manufacturers and suppliers across the whole construction supply chain.
• Represent the BWF membership on the Trade Association Council.
• Represent the BWF membership on the Sustainability Policy Group.
• Represent the BWF membership on the Technical Committee.
• Access to the CPA - Construction Industry Forecasts and the State of Trade Surveys. The Construction Industry Forecasts provides forecasts across 30 industry sectors

Build UK
Build UK is the leading organisation for the UK construction industry representing clients, main contractors and specialist Trade Associations. Build UK represents in excess of 40% of UK construction.
Build UK has three strategic priorities:
• Improving Business Performance
• Increasing Productivity
• Recruiting Training and Retaining Talent

Fire Sector Federation
The Fire Sector Federation (FSF) seeks to give voice to and exert influence in shaping future policy and strategy related to the UK Fire Sector. It brings together representatives form a range of stakeholders which make up the UK Fire Sector.

The Builders Merchant Federation
The BWF is a Strategic Partner of the Builders Merchant Federation

Wood Safety Group (WSG)
The Wood Safety Group membership is made up from Trade Associations representing the timber and timber manufacturing sector. The Secretariat is provided by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
Timber in Construction Roadmap
Supported by DEFRA it outlines how the use of timber in construction will boost the domestic timber industry, economic growth, rural jobs and housebuilding targets through 7 priority themes.
Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS)
research meetings to help the OPSS with mapping the construction products regulatory environment.
Construction Leadership Council (CLC) Material Supply Chain Group
the BWF has a regular place on the group which meets monthly with a representative from BEIS to continue to respond to construction related issues.
Historic England – supported Historic England research project by sharing a call for case studies with our coatings members.
Passive Fire Protection Forum (PFPF)
involved in the review of the PFPF guide for undertaking technical assessments of fire performance of construction products based on fire test evidence.
BSI Technical Committee CPB/1/-/3 which is drafting BS 8670-2 the Code of Practice for construction product competence
Installer Competence Steering Group (WG12) – Super Sector Forum
The BWF is involved in two specialist groups: Envelope and Interiors for setting, developing and delivering at scale the process for creating competence frameworks for fire door installers as well as site carpenters who are installing stairs and other timber products. This will be achieved through two Super Sectors:
Envelope Sector
1. Firestopping Specialist Sector Group (FSSG) – launched the Competence Framework for firestopping activities and specialist occupations.
2. Door, Gate and Shuttering Sector Group (DGSS) - is responsible for developing and overseeing implementation of the competence framework for the appropriate occupations within the DGSS sector. The BWF is leading on the work for mapping the competency of timber fire door installers.
Interiors Sector
1.Stairs and 1st Fix Carpentry Group – the BWF is leading the group who are developing and overseeing the implementation of the competency framework for occupations linked to installing timber staircases and products that are deemed first fix within a building.
Building Safety Charter – BWF is a supporter of the Building Safer Charter showing our commitment to putting building safety first and demonstrating cross sector leadership.
